GHS Battle of the Books team of Annabelle Case, Felix Clo, Krizzia Santander & Joy Kalac won the regional championship on Tuesday at the NYS Museum in Albany.
Gloversville ESD teams competed in the Regional Battle of the Books competition at the NYS Museum in Albany on Tuesday. Both teams won the championships and received the Battle of the Books House cups. The competitions are quiz bowl format with questions based on a set list of 12-16 books the students read. Quotes are read and must be answered with the title and author of the correct book.

Dr. Watkin's Latin students and Mrs. Barranco's Spanish 2 students participated in Ides of March Madness and Locura de marzo tournaments last week. Students answered questions about vocabulary, grammar, and culture. Below are photos of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each language, as well as the Spanish All-Star game winners.
College in the High School Biology students poured agar plates to test bacteria samples from around the school building. Students designed their own experiments to plate and grow their samples using an incubator.
