Today the Gloversville High School in collaboration with St. Mary's Healthcare Cancer Prevention in Action of Fulton Montgomery and Schenectady Counties presented the entire student body and staff with a sun safety presentation that culminated in a sun safety fashion show. I am proud of the collaboration with Ms. Kelsey Carpe and Ms. Ginger Champain that resulted in our school adopting a sun safety policy, sun safety educational materials for students K-12, sun safety dispensers for the district, and two quick up tents for shade, and an outdoor classroom! The passion of Ms. Carpe and Ms. Champain for their cause is immeasurable. The result of our collaboration will benefit every child in the Gloversville Enlarged School District. I am truly thankful for the efforts of everyone involved and look forward to seeing the continued benefits for our children as a result of this partnership.
