Zero-G

On Friday September 9th, Senior Zoey Smith was selected to travel to Newark, NJ to take a trip on the Zero-G airplane.  The airplane is specially designed to fly parabolas between 24,000ft and 32,000ft.  This unique pattern simulates both Mars and Moon-type gravity experiences.  This flight was sponsored by Teachers in Space and Zero-G.  Zoey has expressed her interest in the Aerospace industry when she graduates, making her the perfect candidate for this opportunity.  Chris Murphy, Science teacher, and High Altitude Achievement advisor were able to secure this flight through his continued efforts to get Gloversville students opportunities in the Aerospace and suborbital research fields.
