Park Terrace Elementary School is a primary school and serves approximately 300 scholars in pre-kindergarten through grade 2.

  • The programs aim to build scholar confidence as learners, foster a love for learning, and develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for effective communication, understanding the world, and participating in a democratic society.

  • Using the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) framework, students learn three core district-wide expectations: "Be Respectful", "Be Responsible", and "Be Safe", which are taught, practiced, and modeled throughout school life.

  • Important learning happens every day at Park Terrace!  Scholars who attend school regularly grow into confident learners and form positive relationships with their classmates and the school staff.

    At Park Terrace, we strive to be kind, work together, challenge ourselves, come to school and learn every day, and support our community.  

    School Hours

    • 8:40 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    • The building opens for scholars at 8:15 a.m.

Morning Drop Off

  • K-2nd morning drop of: 8:15-8:40 at D door.

  • Pre-K drop off: 8:40-8:50 at E door. 

  • Late arrivals (after 8:40 for K-2; after 8:50 for Pre-K) must be signed in at the main office.

  • Parents are not allowed to escort their children to classrooms for safety and security reasons.


    Dismissal

    • Each classroom dismisses from one of our five exit doors located around the building.  Contact your child’s teacher or the main office if you are unsure which one to go to for the class.  

    • If someone other than the parent will pick up the child, the teacher should be informed with a note, and the person must be listed on the emergency card. 

    • Early dismissals or changes to dismissal are allowed before 2:00 p.m. to ensure safety and accountability.
