🐍 Exciting Science Day at Park Terrace! 🐍
This Monday, our very own high school science teacher, Ms. Hazzard, gave our second graders a thrilling lesson on the life cycle of a snake. The star of the show? Her pet ball python, who made a special guest appearance! The kids were absolutely fascinated.
Thank you, Ms. Hazzard, for making learning so memorable!

🌟 We're so proud of our incredible youth delegates who attended the CADCA Forum in Washington D.C. from February 2-6! 🌟
Attached is a photo of the enthusiastic group who represented us last week. They had an amazing opportunity to engage with key staffers of Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, discussing important issues around substance use and addiction prevention.
Our delegates also attended various workshops and presentations, gaining valuable insights into addiction science and the best prevention practices. It was an empowering and educational experience that they are eager to bring back to our community.
Thank you to everyone who supported this journey, and let's continue to champion the cause of substance abuse prevention together! 🙌

1st Graders at Park Terrace enjoyed a visit from GHS science teacher, Mrs. Hazzard, as she helped introduce a light and sound unit.

During library classes at Park Terrace, scholars learned a little about storytelling and the Lunar New Year from Mrs. Kathleen Bushek. We learned about dragon and lion dances and the "lucky" color red. Mrs. Bushek very kindly created a large lion for scholars to try out. Our very own Mrs. Prew gave everyone a fortune cookie to eat at home. Thank you to our Park Terrace librarian, Danielle Bombard, for inviting in this special guest.

📚👕 Exciting day at GESD! We're hosting a staff clothing and book give-back event! Swing by to donate or find something new-to-you. Let's recycle and support our community together! #GESDGivesBack #CommunityStrong 💪📚

[GESD] Good evening, this is Superintendent David Halloran. Gloversville Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday February 6, due to the weather event impacting our region. The timing of the impending storm and likelihood of sleet in the afternoon during dismissal are driving factors in this decision.

During the month of January, the scholars at Park Terrace learned about self-awareness. Congratulations to these scholars of the month who excelled at being self-aware.

Our Superintendent, Mr. David Halloran, recently spoke at Assemblyman Robert Smullen’s event in Albany, advocating for the flexibility to opt out of zero-emission bus mandates under Assembly Bill A.2005. Mr. Halloran passionately supports our rural district's needs in facing the challenges of this transition.
We stand united in seeking practical solutions for our school transportation. Thank you, Mr. Halloran, for ensuring our voices are heard!
